podcast no. 24 - Questions and Answers

Play the podcast (right-click, then save as to download)

I'm sorry about problems with the feed for this one. I missed one important step when uploading the mp3 file, but hopefully it's now sorted.

Today's show asks questions:

  • What is the creation myth of the Butchulla tribe?
  • What was the answer to the competition question?
  • And who won?
  • Was St Augustine a podcaster?
Helping provide the answers are:

K-Gari, from Wiltshire, UK, with 2 songs, Seven Shores and Hurricane.

After the competition draw - the prize winner is Mark Johnson - I played Plastic Jesus, another track by The Eisenhowers, from Glasgow, Scotland.

We stayed in Scotland for two excellent tracks, Learn Our Lesson by The 4th Parallel and Metaphysics of Despair by The Scottish Enlightenment.

Today's soundbed music was by Torchomatic and Cagey House. The intro and outro music was composed and performed for the electrical language podcast by Tragic Shellsuit Disaster.

You never know who's going to turn out to be a musician or in a band, do you ? Podcasting's a great way to highlight the hidden talent amongst friends and acquaintances, and very fine indeed K-Gari are too ! Of course, there was also a selection of the finest Scots. A damn fine breed o' men an' wummin; wha's like us ?

Jasna thanks you for the birthday wishes. Be sure to listen out for a little story about her and her reading skills on this week's show ;-)

Hi Gabor - great show, as usual. I thought K-Gari were excellent ... very accomplished and polished sound. 4th Parallel were also impressive ... I have heard a sneak preview of some of their new stuff and it is very powerful ... nice guys too. The Eisenhowers album was allegedly lost in transit by the couriers; it has now been re-pressed and I should have it on Thursday. It has been very frustrating and I apologise for the delay in getting it to you.
