podcast no 41 - a string of blinking songs

Play a string of blinking songs (or right-click, then save as, to download to your computer or mp3 player)

Today's music is all from North America, starting in New York and heading west ending up in Vancouver:

Ivy - This Is The Day

Brookville - Nothing's Meant To Last

Paper Moon - Volcano and Turning Colours Into Greys

Id Guinness - Beautiful Goodbye

Check out Endearing Records for the intercontinental pop exchange.

Today's soundbed music was by Green Eyes, nick+gerald and Map (Oops: in the podcast I said I'd play Torchomatic - sorry). The title music is by Tragic Shell Suit Disaster.

At last - catching up on my comments...

You suckered me in from the start with that summery sound and a French accent - sexy female accents make me go weak at the knees :-) Then you compound the ecstasy with Brookville... reminiscent of the soundtrack to a foreign film ("Ma Vie En Rose" and the theme by Zazie springs to mind).

On my knees now, you bring me to a state of bliss with the sparkly sound of my fave Canadian popsters Papermoon (they've been my summer soundtrack this year).

Finally, you get me drunk on Id Guinness, topped with your forensic detective work which reveals those fascinating connections that you've made your specialty.

A brilliant show - perfect for brightening up my Monday morning !
