electrical language no 154

I decided to produce a podcast of some of my favourite songs from 2008. I selected about 30, then cut the list to 19 songs for the "shortlist". Then I was only able to cut down 4 more, although I would have liked to have kept them.
So, this podcast is far too long, and has 15 songs each first played on electrical language in 2008. I hope you enjoy it, and wish everyone every happiness in 2009. The title music is by Tragic Shell Suit Disaster.

Podcast schedule
For obvious reasons - and a bout of the 'flu - there is no podcast this weekend. There will be a rather long special on 31 December 2008, in which I will be playing 15 of the best songs played on electrical language in 2008. Be warned: it's over 1 hour long! See how many of the songs/artists to be played you can guess.
After that, there will be no podcast on Saturday 3 January 2009, but electrical language returns on 10 January with something new that I have not tried before.
Happy New Year

I'm sorry about the problems downloading this episode: there seems to have been a 24 hour glitch with Libsyn, which hosts the podcast. About an hour ago it was still not working. I deleted the file from the server, re-uploaded it, and now I am able to download it via iTunes, so hopefully everyone else can. The stats are showing 322 downloads in 24 hours, which is 5 times the usual rate. Of course those hits on the server all got "404" results.
This podcast completes 3 years of electrical language (the first podcast was on 18 December 2005). I play the 2 songs played in that first podcast, as well as 5 new ones. And there were all kinds of interruptions, background noises etc. Sorry.
The Moon Is Torn by The Simple Things
Never Never Land by Brown Bag Special
You (Always On My Mind) by Brackenridge
Gone, Gone by The Simple Things

Problems with no 152
There are problems on the Libsyn server which mean that although I have recorded and uploaded electrical language 152, it can't be downloaded.
The shownotes are all written and will post them as soon as the podcast is available. Please check back for more news.
