The first electrical language of the Year of the Ox, by pure chance opens with a track by The Ox. Thanks to Jess for pointing this out.

1. Please send me an e-mail if you would like me to send you a copy of The Eisenhowers' album Film Your Own Atrocities. Please say why I should send it to you.

Something different for the first electrical language of 2009. As I've got a bit of a sore throat and a croaky voice today I'm glad I did all the work over the last few weeks.
On 13 December 2008 I had a long conversation with Raymond Weir of bands Gum and The Eisenhowers. I have played a number of songs by both bands previously. In this podcast you can hear me talking to Raymond, who has a lot of interesting things to say. It was a fun conversation, and I only used about half of what was recorded. I also play 6 songs:
- Chinese Whispers, by The Eisenhowers
- Try Stopping Me Now, by Gum
- Asleep At The Wheel, by Gum
- Mr & Mrs Frankenstein, acoustic version played by Raymond (many thanks to Mark Hunter of the tartanpodcast for letting me use his recording)
- 1969, by The Eisenhowers
- Icarus Succumbs, by The Eisenhowers
